This task assesses learning outcomes # 3-4 and responds to CF # 1(Reflection and Professional Growth) and CF # 7 (Reflection and professional growth) and # 3 (Diversity and Individual Differences).
For the final project, candidates can choose to work on one issue from A or B.

Project A: Practices of Educational Leadership

Requirement:
Summarize international experiences of an issue of your choice (e.g. recruitment, mentoring, or evaluation of educational leaders). Identify experiences that may be useful for the UAE educational context. Prepare a data collection tool (e.g., a list of interview questions) designed to investigate the feasibility of the identified experiences for UAE, and undertake the research amongst colleagues in your organization

Description of the task:
Each candidate will select one of the topics discussed in class: a) recruitment and selection of school leaders, b) coaching and mentoring programs of school leaders, or c) evaluation of school leaders. Each candidate should:
1. Summarize international experiencesof the topic they selected (from class and additional readings if they want);
2. Identify main points that could be beneficial to the UAE;
3. Prepare a data collection tool (survey, interview questions, focus group questions) using the identified points;
4. Collect data using the tool;
5. Analyze, summarize and report the findings. Pay particular attention to synthesis of ideas.
6. Discuss the findings (Why did you get those findings? What can/cannot be implemented in the UAE and why?).
