In Michael Walzer's article this week, "The Triumph of Just War, " he argues that with media presence, "war has to be different in these circumstances" (Walzer 2002, 932). Given that he published the article before the US invasion of Iraq in 2003, he is not addressing how war in the Middle East has played out since then. Is war different today than it was prior to 2003? How? To be specific, is it more "just" and what does that mean? Or does it, as Walzer suggests, simply "look" more just?
