The problem will be PTSD due to sexual trauma/rape.

 

Students will select two theories (individual OR family) of interest (any theory that appears below) and write a critical analysis (conceptualization) of each as it pertains to a problem in your own life. You will apply these two theories to ONE problem you have encountered in your own life/family, either recently or in the past. This will be used as the basis for a case presentation in which the student will apply each theory to the one problem. The students will give a brief presentation of their work to the class, focusing on the case and the interventions they selected in their paper. The presentation will discuss your level of differentiation as it pertains to your family, relationships and relationship with self.

Your paper should be a minimum of 5 pages and max is 7 pages. See below for the break down of what I am expecting on these pages:

Page #1: explain ONE problem in your life or in your family
Page #2 and #3: apply the first theory you chose to understand that problem and how it would be treated from that theory perspective.
Page #4 and #5: apply the second theory you chose to understand that problem and how it would be treated from that theory perspective.

The paper should be 5-7 pages total.
