cultures may be defined by factors such as heritage, lifestyle, place of
residence, and personal choice. Understanding cultural characteristics
helps us to understand how we interact with others, make decisions, and
direct our actions. Understanding other cultures helps us to work
together with members of them from a position of mutual respect and
positive outcomes.
